We need to thank Avens for the use of their BBQs this week.
Finning has come to us with a volunteer request. Finning is looking for volunteers to work their customer appreciation BBQ on Saturday Aug 18th from 10:30 to 3:30. They are supplying all that is required just need bodies to cook. The burgers and hot dogs are by donation. Whatever money is raised will be matched by Finning and given to the YK Seniors’ Society as a donation. There is a signup sheet in the front. Please let me now know if you are available.
I am looking for a group or some individuals to help with Lunch on Aug 31st, Next Friday’s LWAB. Please let me know if you are available.
Yoga is starting on September 10th and running till Oct 29th. Classes are Monday and Wednesday at 10am. Please come register early. You know the spaces fill up fast
If you are looking for Old Timer Dinner and Dance tickets. You can purchase them either at Quality Furniture, Baker Community Centre or members of the fundraising committee.
We need to say Good Luck to all the Canada 55+ Games members that have left or that are leaving soon. Good Luck at the games. Looking forward to seeing the medals when you get back. GOOD LUCK!!!
Al-Anon Family Group meets every Thursday evening at 7 pm at the Baker Centre. If you are concerned about a family or friend drinking too much alcohol, please come, we can help.
