June 25th, 2021 Announcements
We need to truly Thank NWT Seniors Society and NWTRPA for the funding to have this Lunch today and the lunch we had on Tuesday. This is to end June which is Seniors Month
YK Seniors Society will be closed on Thursday July 1st for Canada Day. Make sure to get out and enjoy the Parade and the activities that will be happening at City Hall after the parade.
We are in need of 3 volunteers on Thursdays for the month of July to deliver posters around town for the Fund raiser Knifer Cashe. I will have the posters ready for you and a list of places that it needs to go. I will break down the city by areas so it will be easier. If you can help, please email ykseniorsociety@theedge.ca.
I personal would like to thank Marilyn and Barb for shopping and getting plants and flowers for around the Baker Community Centre. The beautification is because of them.
Hoping after Monday June 28th, we will no longer have to wear masks in the building. For now, we still do, so if you are coming on Monday make sure you still bring it with you just in case. I have been following the Emerging Wisely Plan, it also looks like maybe by the middle of July we can go back to full capacity here at the centre. I will keep you informed when that will and is going to happen
From the Knifer Cash Draw June 22nd, 2021
Winning number was not played so the estimated roll over for June 22nd draw is approximately $600.00
The sun is final out and the weather is warm. Get out and make the best of what the weekend has to offer.
Kind regards
Kim
