Lunch with a Bunch
This is an opportunity for all seniors in Yellowknife and visitors to the city to get together and have a great lunch. Catch up on the news and have a great time visiting. 12:00 Noon on Fridays.
Monday and Wednesday (1:30 PM) we offer delicious coffee or tea in our Coffee Room. Whenever you have some free time, do join us. Better still, come out and host a Coffee Break.
Come to the Kingpin Centre, Wednesdays at 2 pm for a relaxing and entertaining time. Never bowled before? There are always people ready to show you the ins and outs. Seniors' Special cost: $13.00, plus $2.00 to rent shoes (or bring your own) for three games of bowling.
Lawn Bowling happens at 2pm on Tuesday afternoon at the City's Field House. Need to register at the YK Seniors' Society. Cost depending on number of participants.
Bridge players get together every Tuesday evening at 7 pm. For details, contact the Executive Director at 873-9475. (Cost: $2.)
Wonderful exercise and great for your balance. Tai Chi classes are held each Saturday at 11 am

The Book Club meets the third Thursday of the month from 1:30 to 3:00 pm in our coffee room.
Curling happens every Monday at 1:30 PM at the Yellowknife Curling Rink. Seasonal
Carpet Bowling occurs every Friday afternoon at 1:30 PM. Cost $2.00/game
Healing Touch meets the last Thursday of each month. Drop-in to try a healing touch treatment to relieve chronic pain, promote healing and to provide relaxation. Come at 7pm or 7:30 pm for a 30 minute session. Cost is $2 each time. Will start again in September.
Canada Senior Games/ Canada 55+
Meets 2nd Thursday each month in the Baker Community Centre coffee room to work on plans to attend the national seniors' games. .
Scottish Country Dancing
Social dancing in circles and rounds. This is NOT highland dancing! Beginners welcome. No partner needed. Cost: $2 each time you come. Drop-in’s welcome. Mondays 7:30 pm at the Baker Centre.
STRENGTH AND BALANCE CLASSES
This class is offered on Monday and Wednesday mornings at 11:30 am. This class is a half hour long and stretch your muscles and keep you limber. Come check it out for yourself.
